Everyone loves their job…. really? We asked them:

a) What do you love most about your job?
b) What would you most like to do without?
c) Why do you work for us?

Eve-Chantal

Master carpenter, wood technician, project manager, with us since 2021
  • a) The contact with customers, but also the proximity to production in the workshop that I have as a project manager. Every project is individual and I am always happy to be able to follow and accompany the development process from the client’s enquiry to the finished installation
  • b) The never-ending bureaucratic paperwork surrounding the projects
  • c) Exciting and varied projects and a great team that never gets boring.

  • a) What is my job here? Sometimes I feel a bit superfluous here… But it’s cool to play fetch at lunchtime. I always find someone there. And there’s also a lot of scratching sessions. I sometimes sit on Beate’s lap too
  • b) Rainy weather
  • c) No question – I’m always where Susann is

Friedrich

Managing director, master carpenter, founder of the Gilhaus carpentry workshop in 1988
  • a) Getting into a flow while working, seeing when an idea becomes reality, feeling the haptics of wood, putting things together, different design ideas.
  • b) What could I do without? Sick employees on Monday, traffic jams, wood rotting in damp conditions, decorative chipboard
  • c) We support each other, we are very well equipped, things are getting better and better because we are constantly developing, harmony at work.

Carpenter, with us since 2005
  • a) You can build all your own furniture according to your own ideas.
  • b) Dust, noise, sometimes toxic vapours.
  • c) ….because on the whole everything is reasonably ok.

  • a) The variety and creativity in our profession. When customers are happy with the result we deliver
  • b) Traffic jams, city traffic, looking for a parking space
  • c) The high-quality work and ecological aspects. The very pleasant working atmosphere in the company – very relaxed and respectful
